Billit can be linked to almost all Belgian banks by importing CODA files. CODA files are coded digital bank statements. You can import CODA files in Billit in different ways.

One way of importing your digital bank statements in Billit is through Billbank. You give Billit a mandate to request your digital bank statements from your bank*. Your digital bank statements are then imported in Billit daily. Importing digital bank statements through Billbank is free**.

A second way of importing your digital bank statements in Billit is to import them through Codabox. Many businesses have already registered their accounts with Codabox through their accountants. In that case, you can simply request a token from Codabox to important your CODA files in Billit. Have you not yet registered your business accounts with Codabox? Contact your accountant to sign the mandate with which you give Codabox permission to request your digital bank statements from your bank. Codabox applies a one-off start-up fee and a monthly subscription fee*.

Do you have a business account with KBC? You can then import the digital bank statements for your KBC accounts for free in Billit thanks to the link with KBC. Please note: you can only import the bank statements for your KBC accounts with this option. If you have accounts with another bank, you can use the other options to import your bank statements.

A last way of importing your bank statements in Billit is to import them through Ponto. Unlike the other methods, Ponto does not use CODA files but works in accordance with the new PSD2 guidelines for the digital sharing of bank data within Europe. A new technology with the great advantage that the data of your bank accounts are imported almost in real time in Billit. You may a monthly subscription fee to use Ponto*.

Once you have linked your bank accounts and your bank transactions are automatically imported in Billit, Billit tries to match transactions with invoices. Ensuring you always have a handy overview of the payment status of your incoming and outgoing invoices and the number of days before invoices become past due.

Automatic reminders:
Now that Billit knows the payment status of your invoices, you can automatically send reminders to customers whose invoices is almost past due and receive reminders for invoices that need to be paid urgently.

Check your company’s financial status at a glance on the dashboard. You can see the current balance of your linked bank accounts, incoming and outgoing invoices that are past due and your company’s income and expenditure flows. Need more insights? Paying invoices yourself is easier than ever thanks to the automatically generated payment files that you can import in your bank software. This also avoids errors when copying payment data. Businesses with a KBC account have an advantage. Thanks to the link between Billit and KBC Touch, they can now view and pay any invoices past due in KBC Touch.
