Link* Billit with Payconiq and automatically put QR codes on your invoices. Your customers can easily pay your invoices with the Payconiq by Bankcontact app and the automatic payment check will take care of the rest. This will make things easier for both you and your customer.
*You will need a Payconiq account for this link. There is no subscription fee but a fixed fee per transaction. You can find more info via the Payconiq website.
Payconiq is a service which generates QR codes and allows customers to pay merchants via the Payconiq by Bancontact app (and often via their own bank app).
This integration allows you to automatically put Payconiq QR codes on your invoices which your customers can use to pay the invoice. A few of the advantages:
Swift payment
Your customers only need the Payconiq by Bancontact app (they can usually pay with their own banking app). The automatic payment check allows you to see in Billit when an invoice has been paid.
No fixed fee
A Payconiq account is not free but you don't need a subscription fee or big investment. You simply pay a fixed fee per transaction.
100% sure about your transaction
Payconiq is 100% safe. As merchant you immediately know if a transaction has been successful. It's both safe and useful.
That's easy, with the Payconiq by Bancontact app. This video shows you how it works:
Click the submenu ‘Integrations’ in the ‘Settings’ menu. Go to the Payconiq tile and click ‘Connect’.
Enter the Payconiq API key which is linked to your Payconiq acccount. If you don't have an API key or account yet, please contact the Payconiq team via this form (in Dutch).
When the link is activated, a Payconiq QR code is automatically added to your invoice.
As soon as a customer has paid via Payconiq, a notification will appear in the invoice log and Billit will send you an email to confirm the invoice has been paid. The payment status of your invoice will also automatically change.
Q: The QR code doesn't appear on my invoices after activating the link.
Check via Settings > Corporate style > Invoice > Manage if the unique key $Order.PaymentQR$ is available in your invoice lay-out. The location of the key will determine where the QR code will appear on your invoice.
Q: Can my customer pay or receive any amount with the Payconiq by Bancontact-app?
A: There are different limits for mobile payments via QR code with the Payconiq by Bancontact app. If your customer has linked their AXA, Belfius, BNPPF, ING, KBC, CBC or KBC Brussels bank account with the app, the bank will determine the payment limits. Check the general terms and conditions of your bank for more info. If your customer linked a different bank account, there is a daily payment limit of 500 €. More info.
